Job Description:

We are looking for a Automotive Engineer to support the engineering and testing of electric vehicle (EV) batteries. This role focuses on evaluating the performance, durability, and safety of high-voltage battery systems through well-defined testing procedures and reporting. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of battery systems and a willingness to learn and grow in the area of dynamic EV testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform testing of EV batteries, including durability, safety, lifecycle, and environmental assessments.
  • Assist in the development and execution of test plans to evaluate battery performance.
  • Analyze test results and prepare reports to support product development and quality assurance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and assist in ensuring safety protocols are followed during testing.
  • Support troubleshooting and analysis of battery systems using tools such as CAN Bus analyzers.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and organized testing environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in battery testing, electrical systems, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of high-voltage systems and safety considerations.
  • Proficiency with tools like MATLAB/Simulink or similar is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Salary Offered: £30,000 to £40,000 per annum
