A superb senior opportunity for an experienced qualified accountant with a background in group or divisional level management reporting and consolidations to join a market leading alternative asset management house, with experience in financial services not essential.
The firm operate strategies across private equity, secondaries and private credit, with an impressive portfolio of investments across the UK and Europe. This role sits at the centre of the division’s financial management, providing oversight of reporting, planning and financial performance across a multi-entity international structure, roughly split two thirds cyclical reporting and a third ad hoc financial analysis.
The Role
In this divisional reporting, consolidation and analysis role, you will play a key role in the production of management information and financial oversight of the alternative investments business, with particular focus on P&L, cash flow analysis, AUM reporting and FP&A.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly and quarterly consolidated management accounting and reporting for the alternatives business, reporting results into Group Finance
- Lead preparation of all reporting packs, board materials and quarterly strategy updates
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data infrastructure, improving automation and reporting efficiency
- Monitor and report on divisional cash flows, including group-level flows
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, as well as longer-term financial planning
- Track key intragroup transactions and flows related to investment management activities
- Monitor distribution agreements and associated fee flows
- Act as a key point of contact for Group Finance, auditors and tax advisors
- Provide ad-hoc support across investor relations queries, investment transactions, projects and business initiatives
Your background
- Fully qualified accountant – ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent – and degree educated
- A background working in a divisional or group level management reporting based role; this is not an overly financial control orientated role
- Experience working in complex multi-entity environments with consolidations experience preferred – open on industry but you need to be from a medium to large sized group set up
- Comfortable operating in a senior standalone role that will lean on other finance teams across the organisation
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable presenting to finance and non finance stakeholders across the business and externally
- Exposure to financial systems and reporting automation projects would be advantageous
