As a Bakery Supervisor, you will lead and support our baking team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily production, ensuring quality control, and managing a team of bakers to ensure smooth operations in our busy bakery. Oversee the daily production of bread, pastries, and baked goods, ensuring consistently high standards of quality, taste, and presentation while meeting agreed production schedules. Lead, motivate, and develop a team of bakers through clear direction, hands on support, regular briefings, and constructive feedback to drive performance and continuous improvement. Actively participate in the full baking process including preparation, mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking, ensuring strict adherence to recipes, traditional methods, and food safety standards. Manage operational efficiency by monitoring workflow, resolving production or equipment issues promptly, maintaining a clean and well organised bakery, and ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations. Support the wider success of the bakery through effective stock control, ingredient management, equipment care, and involvement in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members to build a strong, skilled workforce. Have previous experience in a bakery or food production environment, with a solid understanding of artisan bread and pastry techniques. Are passionate about quality baking and committed to maintaining the highest standards in everything they do. Have knowledge of health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and best practices in bakery hygiene.
