Artisan Recruitment is a leading UK contractor specialising in high-end commercial fit-out on the flooring side, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Fit-Out division.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of the UK's most prestigious commercial projects, partnering with Tier One fit-out contractors and delivering specialist packages at scale.

The Role

As a post-contract Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for projects from internal handover through to final account.

Working closely with project managers, pre-construction, sales, and procurement teams—as well as clients, suppliers, and subcontractors—you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, profitably, and to the highest standards.

You will also be instrumental in maintaining strong relationships with leading fit-out contractors, including Overbury, Mace Interiors, Structuretone London, BW Interiors, Willmott Dixon, Parkeray, and 8Build.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial management of projects from post-contract award through to final account
  • Preparation and submission of monthly applications for payment and variation claims
  • Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reporting and ongoing financial forecasting
  • Monitoring project costs, variations, and margins to maintain financial control
  • Identifying value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies
  • Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
  • Issuing and managing small works orders (jobsheets)
  • Close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders

About You

  • Minimum 4+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within the fit-out sector
  • Proven experience working with Tier One contractors.
  • Strong background working for a subcontractor
  • Experience in one or more of the following:
    • Soft flooring
    • Stone & ceramics
    • Raised access flooring
  • Strong knowledge of JCT (D&B / SBC) and NEC contracts
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
