Supplier Quality Engineer – Farnborough – Manufacturing – Up to £36k
We are currently recruiting for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Farnborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established company supporting industrial, commercial and military sectors across the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement
- Maintain supplier approval records, certifications and compliance documentation
- Investigate supplier‑related quality issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejected materials and improve supplier performance
- Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement and engineering teams to support quality and compliance objectives
- Support production teams by identifying process improvement opportunities
- Prepare and maintain audit findings, compliance reports and quality documentation
- Communicate with suppliers regarding corrective actions, design changes and first‑article inspections
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a Quality Engineering role in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Experience conducting supplier audits and managing supplier quality activities
- Proven problem‑solving experience using Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques and tools
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non‑technical teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
This role will involve travel to suppliers across the UK and occasionally Europe, so flexibility to travel and a driving licence is essential.
