Supplier Quality Engineer – Farnborough – Manufacturing – Up to £36k

We are currently recruiting for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Farnborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established company supporting industrial, commercial and military sectors across the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement
  • Maintain supplier approval records, certifications and compliance documentation
  • Investigate supplier‑related quality issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejected materials and improve supplier performance
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement and engineering teams to support quality and compliance objectives
  • Support production teams by identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Prepare and maintain audit findings, compliance reports and quality documentation
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding corrective actions, design changes and first‑article inspections

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a Quality Engineering role in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and managing supplier quality activities
  • Proven problem‑solving experience using Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques and tools
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non‑technical teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems

This role will involve travel to suppliers across the UK and occasionally Europe, so flexibility to travel and a driving licence is essential.
