Job Title: Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer

Job Reward: £50-52k plus benefits and overtime

Electrical bias, ideally dual skilled

Client: Global Consumer FMCG Manufacturing Company

Location: Derbyshire

Contract Type: Permanent, 8 hour rotating shifts

You will be joining a global manufacturing and packaging leader with a huge number of sites worldwide. The factory you will join is world‑class, and you will maintain assets that produce market‑leading consumer products that people buy every second of every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, adjust and repair machinery and equipment using the necessary tools in a safe manner, maintaining process and packaging equipment.
  • Examine machinery and equipment, report on condition and performance, and plan actions for improvements.
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance according to agreed schedules.
  • Share ideas to form mini‑projects that improve plant performance, including machinery modifications.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
  • Reactive and planned maintenance experience from process and manufacturing lines.
  • HND or HNC Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical engineering (minimum NVQ Level 3).
  • Or equivalent qualification in electrical or mechanical fields, preferably with a manufacturing background.
  • PLC experience preferred (not essential).
