V&V Systems Engineering Specialist
What you will need
- British Citizen with eligibility for SC clearance
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in electronics or mechanical systems within a safety critical environment
- Hands on use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators or spectrum analysers
- Experience working in multi disciplinary engineering teams and engaging with technical stakeholders
Salary and rewards
Up to £65,000 with a bonus of up to 21% of base salary plus a high contribution pension and hybrid working arrangement with 2 days onsite per week.
What you will be doing
- Defining and developing test strategies across the full product lifecycle from design through to qualification and deployment
- Supporting system validation activities and ensuring test equipment is accurate, robust and compliant
- Analysing test data to identify performance issues and support technical troubleshooting
- Producing technical documentation including test procedures and validation reports
- Engaging with stakeholders to support system acceptance and influence technical direction
- Supporting bid activities and promoting best practice across test and validation processes
Skills and background
- Strong understanding of electronic or mechanical systems engineering principles
- Experience with safety critical industry standards within defence or similar regulated sectors
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex test and validation data clearly
- Familiarity with requirements tools such as DOORS or DOORS NG is advantageous
- Exposure to model based systems engineering tools such as SysML or Rhapsody is desirable
- Knowledge of design for testability principles and validation approaches
