Contract Role: Data Solutions Architect
Engage in a 24‑month contract (within IR35) in a regulated & security‑led environment. The role is London‑based with hybrid working (3 days onsite). Day rate: £578 – £637.50.
Core Capabilities
- Strong background in solution architecture across modern data platforms and analytics ecosystems within regulated or security‑focused environments
- Ability to design end‑to‑end solutions spanning application, data integration, infrastructure and security layers
- Hands‑on experience with Azure data services, including Databricks and Microsoft Fabric
- Solid understanding of distributed processing technologies such as Spark‑based platforms
- Proven ability to design secure, scalable and resilient data architectures aligned to functional and non‑functional requirements
- Skilled at translating complex business and technical requirements into structured solution designs
Architecture & Engineering Expertise
- Experience defining current‑state, target‑state and transition architectures supported by phased roadmaps and dependency‑aware migration plans
- Strong knowledge of platform engineering principles, including infrastructure as code, CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Ability to assess technology options and clearly communicate trade‑offs to stakeholders at all levels
- Experience integrating data platforms with enterprise systems using APIs, event‑driven and service‑based patterns
- Understanding of cloud landing zone approaches, identity management and secure connectivity aligned to enterprise standards
Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement
- Proven track record delivering architecture across complex data programmes with design authority and assurance responsibilities
- Works closely with engineering teams to translate architecture into delivery and ensure build‑phase alignment
- Comfortable operating within governance frameworks, including design reviews and architecture boards
- Produces clear auditable documentation, including HLD, LLD and architecture decision records
- Supports knowledge transfer capability uplift and structured handover at programme completion
