About the Role
Software Engineer role at Made Tech. The mission is to improve public services with technology. We work with UK government, NHS, local government, and other public sector clients to deliver and manage world‑class digital products and cloud services.
What the job entails
Write and deliver custom software for the public sector, across central and local government and health services. Emphasis is on outcome‑based delivery, ensuring customer goals are understood and achieved.
Senior Software Engineers work on a variety of problems from monoliths to microservices, upskilling colleagues and learning from others. They will use Java, Ruby, Python, ES6 with React, and C# with .NET Core, and will build CD pipelines to test, build, and release many times per day.
Key technical areas include Terraform, OpenAPI, AWS Lambda, containerisation, and a DevOps culture that focuses on sharing platforms rather than building infrastructure in isolation.
