The Role

As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of a global, cross-disciplinary, agile team designing, implementing, validating and maintaining mechanical subsystems for Markem‑Imaje current and future printers.

In this role you will work with talented engineers in a global environment, building complex products. From proof of concept to production you’ll work with products across a variety of printing technologies, targeted to meet our customers’ needs and the strategic objectives of Markem‑Imaje.

What you will do:

  • Drive quality and efficiency within the Mechanical Engineering team by setting an outstanding example in terms of highly effective design collaboration with cross‑functional teams in a global capacity (USA, UK, France, Poland, Italy, India, China).
  • Perform and lead CAD design, engineering computers simulations, and mechanical engineering related lab experiments in support of design validation and reliability goals.
  • Bring a strong technical expertise during design reviews and problem‑solving activities.
  • Deploy state of the art mechanical engineering development practices (such as advanced fabrication methods, rapid prototyping, reliability studies, FEA/CFD simulation, etc.).
  • Follow and drive improvement of best practices and tools to improve team efficiency, effectiveness, and mechanical subsystem quality.
  • Use outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to execute efficient interfaces with third‑party engineering partners and suppliers.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor or Masters’ degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
  • Significant experience in Mechanical Engineering research and development roles, preferably within an Industrial environment.
  • Experience designing industrial products from concept through production.
  • Experience in CAD design (Creo/Windchill preferred), FEA/CFD analysis, and thermal/flow/pneumatics/electro‑mechanical testing.
  • Experience in 3D manufacturing, additive manufacturing, injection molding or precision part casting is a plus.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as work well within a team environment.
  • Must be organized, results oriented with the ability to work on multiple projects in parallel.
