This is a hands‑on hybrid role combining software expertise with on‑site technical support, acting as the link between core engineering teams and live customer deployments. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring automated systems operate reliably in real‑world, production environments.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Acting as first‑line support for software issues on deployed automated systems
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues on live customer sites
  • Working closely with UK and international engineering teams to triage and escalate issues
  • Building deep technical knowledge of a full automation software stack
  • Providing structured feedback to improve system performance and reliability
  • Communicating confidently with customers and operators in industrial environments

What They’re Looking For

  • Strong software engineering foundation (industrial, embedded, or automation exposure ideal)
  • Hands‑on experience diagnosing live systems in the field or production environments
  • Background in applications engineering, commissioning, or technical support is highly desirable
  • Comfortable working with physical hardware and automation systems
  • Willing to travel within the UK and Europe
  • Clear communicator who performs well under pressure
