If you're an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor looking for real ownership, this role gives you the chance to lead the commercial function on a portfolio of highway projects across the South West. Expect a mix of new highway and public realm projects, maintenance schemes and vehicle restraint systems (VRS)—fast‑moving, varied and commercially engaging.
You'll head up a small team of commercial professionals and be the driving force behind forecasting, risk management and NEC contract oversight. You're expected to have previously worked in the Civils sector, think independently, build strong relationships and bring out the best in your team.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Have a strong understanding of NEC form of contract.
- Have experience in managing and developing team members.
- Be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
- Be experienced of working in the Civils/Highways sector.
Location / Travel
Your week will be spread across our client's office in Taunton and projects across the South West.

Salary band
£75,000 – £85,000 per annum
