The Company

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Site Manager to join my client, an innovative housebuilder operating across the South and South West of England. They deliver high-quality, small to medium-sized residential developments, typically up to 40 homes per site working in partnership with public and private sector landowners.

The Opportunity

Due to a successful planning outcome they are starting on site on a new development in Dorset and are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of this 21 unit traditional build residential development in Dorset. You will play a key role in delivering the development and will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site operations from inception through to completion
  • Ensure all works are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site labour
  • Monitor progress against programme and report regularly to senior management
  • Ensure all works comply with planning conditions, building regulations, and company standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks
  • Lead site meetings and maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage site documentation, including RAMS, permits, and site records
  • Support the successful handover of completed homes to clients and stakeholders

About You

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential construction
  • Experience delivering small to medium-sized housing developments (ideally up to 100 units)
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and site management best practices
  • Experience working on complex or constrained sites is highly desirable
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

Qualifications

  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
  • CSCS Card (Black or Gold)
  • First Aid at Work
  • Full UK driving licence
