Your impact: As part of our well‑established and highly successful team of over 70 ground contamination specialists throughout the UK and Europe, you will work across a number of industrial sectors, delivering strategic subject‑matter expert advice and innovative geo‑environmental solutions to ensure projects and clients comply with all environmental liabilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for land quality assessment and remediation.
- Deliver remediation strategies (excavation, soil treatment, capping layers, gas protection).
- Support the implementation of ground investigations and geo‑environmental assessments.
- Support geo‑environmental and quantitative assessments.
- Design remediation strategies (excavation, soil treatment, capping layers, gas protection).
- Ensure compliance with UK planning, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Produce validation reports to discharge planning conditions.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in geo‑environmental consultancy.
- Proven track record in supporting industrial sector projects across the full project lifecycle.
- Sound understanding of Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessment approaches.
- Excellent understanding of environmental legislation and risk assessment methodologies (including UK and international site evaluation and due diligence standards such as ASTM).
- Good understanding of emerging contaminants such as PFAS.
- Digital data assessment expertise.
