Qualifications

  • Solid experience in marine insurance brokerage with strong knowledge of global marine insurance markets, products, and placement strategies.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Excellent understanding of the relevant classes of business.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for business development.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with clients, insurers and other associates.
  • Professional and tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
  • An understanding of regulatory controls and procedures.
  • An understanding of and adherence to Lockton standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the computer desktop software provided by Lockton.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software applications.
