In This Role, You Will
- Design and build agentic AI workflows that connect and automate handoffs across the product lifecycle – from engineering and QA through to delivery and sales
- Evaluate and select AI tooling across the lifecycle, establishing coherent standards for how different teams build and interact with AI capabilities
- Build MCP integrations and API layers that allow AI capabilities to operate across existing systems and workflows
- Identify where AI can surface context, reduce duplication, and improve decision‑making as work moves between teams and lifecycle stages
- Work with product, engineering, delivery, and sales teams to understand their workflows and design AI‑native improvements grounded in how the business actually operates
- Contribute to AI governance and compliance readiness, supporting the organisation's approach to the EU AI Act and ISO 42001
- Collaborate closely with the rest of the AI Function to ensure the tooling and patterns you build are consistent with the shared AI platform
Essential Experience And Skills
- Hands‑on experience in AI engineering, building production AI/ML systems
- Demonstrable experience with agentic AI patterns: multi‑step actions, tool use, state management, and defined guardrails
- Experience with MCP or similar AI integration patterns, and the ability to design service boundaries between AI capabilities and existing systems
- Strong software engineering fundamentals: TypeScript or Python, API design, automation scripting, CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working across multiple teams or business functions – you understand how to navigate different stakeholder contexts and translate between technical and non‑technical thinking
- Comfortable with ambiguity: this role involves working in a business context that is not yet fully defined, and shaping the approach as you go
Desirable Skills
- Background in DevOps, platform engineering, or developer experience roles
- Experience designing tooling or workflow automation used by non‑engineering teams
- Familiarity with SAP BTP ecosystem
- Understanding of EU AI Act requirements and ISO 42001
