Our client is a slow moving consumer goods company with a manufacturing site in Nottinghamshire.

The Managing Director / CEO will be accountable for leading a team of Directors within:

Commercial

  • Develop a long term strategy for growth in domestic and international markets
  • Ensure the company maintains its position as a major brand within the industry
  • Monitor industry trends, consumer behaviour and competitor activity to ensure NPD leadership
  • Expand retail partnerships including D2C
  • Drive consumer engagement and route to market

Manufacturing

  • Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Robust supply chain management
  • Effective procurement and cost saving exercises

Finance

  • Take full accountability for P&L, cashflow and financial performance
  • Work with investors to provide budgets, forecasts and KPI objectives
  • Transparency and visibility with the board, investors and

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Managing Director or CEO within consumer, manufacturing or lifestyle brands. You must have had experience of managing a large team in an company that has a turnover of over £50m. Private equity experience would be useful but not essential.
