Band 7 Patient Pathway Manager – Neurosciences
We are recruiting an experienced Patient Pathway Manager to deliver strategic, operational and performance‑based improvements within Neurosciences services at Queen’s Hospital, Romford. The role supports clinical and non‑clinical teams, manages a team of administrative staff, and ensures efficient RTT, cancer and diagnostic pathways.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage administrative staff within the Neurosciences department.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor RTT, cancer, diagnostic and stroke pathways to meet performance targets.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement strategic objectives for the care group.
- Ensure accurate escalation, resolve service issues, and influence decisions to improve patient access.
- Provide strategic oversight of all specialties within Neurosciences and support recovery planning within performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Degree‑level education or equivalent experience.
- Proven NHS operational experience at Band 6 or above.
- Good knowledge of 18‑week, cancer and diagnostic pathways.
- Experience managing medical and administrative staff.
- Knowledge of PAS, SSNAP, and related NHS systems.
