German Speaking Technical Applications Scientist – Technical Services Team
Location: Oxford, UK (hybrid; 3 days onsite, 2 days remote; initial 5 days onsite training)
Role: Provide high‑quality technical expertise and support for ONT products to scientists across Europe & UK. Collaborate within cross‑functional teams to strengthen client relationships and product application.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide front‑line application support via email, phone, and live chat.
- Escalate issues to senior team members as required.
- Troubleshoot issues, analyze customer needs, and suggest solutions.
- Document all interactions and relevant information in the CRM with accuracy.
- Assist customers with experimental design, product installation, data analysis, and workflow validation.
- Collaborate with internal and customer‑facing teams.
Required Qualifications
- BSc degree or equivalent in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Life Sciences, or related field.
- Understanding of NGS, genetics, molecular & cell biology.
- Proficiency in German (C1 level); Italian also considered.
- Technical competency to discuss experimental principles and stay current in the field.
- Excellent communication & customer‑service skills; strong problem‑solving ability.
