Regional People Business Partner (Field‑based, Midlands)
A field‑based role working with over 100 stores across the Midlands region. You will spend time in the stores, driving people engagement and strategy across teams and partnering with the Regional Operations Manager and Area Managers to develop proactive people plans, recruit for Area, Store and Deputy Store Managers, and support internal development.
Key accountabilities
- Leading and supporting the People Agenda across the Region
- Driving succession planning & development with the Regional Operations Manager & Area Managers
- Recruiting for Store & Area Management with a strong focus on internal succession
- Partnering with Area Managers to embed performance management processes across the region
- Proactively managing absence levels across the region to reduce levels and associated costs
- Delivering training sessions to upskill existing Management on people/legislation changes
Ideal candidate qualities
- Experience in a regional or multi‑site HR role, ideally within retail or a fast‑paced environment
- Proven ability to partner at a senior management level
- An influencer, negotiator, listener, and all‑round solutions person
- Natural ability to balance people with commercial outcomes
- Approachable in style, relationship builder not afraid to have challenging conversations based on rationale
- Commercially and people‑focused
- Inspirational leader, enthusiastic about adding value day‑to‑day
