Job Description
The Systems team within Central Technology leads the exploration of emerging system technologies for the Cloud AI, Edge AI and Physical AI markets. This is a pivotal opportunity for an accomplished, delivery‑focused engineering leader to translate those ideas and specifications into high‑impact outcomes. Working in close partnership with technologists, system architects, and project and program managers, you will guide the planning and execution of technology across a portfolio of initiatives, bringing transparency, pace, and care to delivery while ensuring a consistently high standard of service for the teams and partners who depend on it.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of system architectures across Cloud AI, Edge AI, and Physical AI, translating architectural intent into executable, technically robust plans.
- Lead the technical integrity of roadmaps and delivery plans, ensuring alignment between architecture, dependencies, and implementation constraints.
- Drive cross‑domain alignment across hardware and software, ensuring architectures are coherent, consistent, and capable of being realised as complete SoC systems.
- Identify and resolve architectural and integration risks, handling trade‑offs, dependencies, and technical obstacles across teams.
- Enable effective transition from architecture to implementation, ensuring clear requirements, assumptions, and readiness for engineering execution.
- Lead technical reviews and alignment forums, driving decisions, resolving ambiguity, and maintaining delivery momentum.
Required Skills And Experience
- Confirmed leadership experience in RTL‑based IP or semiconductor technology sector.
- Deep technical understanding of end‑to‑end development flows spanning requirements through to RTL IP product and silicon delivery.
- Experience in resource allocation planning, project planning and critical path analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skills to identify and prioritise key activities, while guiding meaningful discussions and helping to shape successful outcomes.
- Motivating and inspiring project teams.
- A growth mindset, attention to detail, and an excellent work ethic is a prerequisite.
Nice To Have Skills And Experience
- Knowledge and understanding of system technologies, for instance, bus interconnects and SoC architectures.
- Engineering management experience of innovative projects and/or programs.
- An understanding of the ISO 26262 standard for automotive based projects.
