Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs
  • Support teaching staff in delivering adapted lessons and interventions
  • Help pupils develop communication skills, social confidence, and emotional regulation
  • Implement strategies to support learning, behaviour, and engagement
  • Encourage independence and positive participation in classroom activities
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and wider support staff

Qualifications

  • Has experience supporting children in an SEN or educational setting
  • Understands inclusive teaching and learning strategies
  • Communicates effectively and works well within a team
  • Is patient, empathetic, and proactive in approach
  • Can adapt quickly to meet the needs of different pupils
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing
  • Undertake an Enhanced DBS check
  • Provide satisfactory references
