Responsibilities
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs
- Support teaching staff in delivering adapted lessons and interventions
- Help pupils develop communication skills, social confidence, and emotional regulation
- Implement strategies to support learning, behaviour, and engagement
- Encourage independence and positive participation in classroom activities
- Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and wider support staff
Qualifications
- Has experience supporting children in an SEN or educational setting
- Understands inclusive teaching and learning strategies
- Communicates effectively and works well within a team
- Is patient, empathetic, and proactive in approach
- Can adapt quickly to meet the needs of different pupils
- Has a genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing
- Undertake an Enhanced DBS check
- Provide satisfactory references
