Location: Liverpool | Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 | Type: Permanent

An established and growing building services consultancy in Liverpool is looking to appoint a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to support the continued growth of its mechanical design team. The consultancy delivers mechanical, electrical and public health design across a variety of sectors including commercial, residential, education and industrial projects. With a strong pipeline of work and a growing project portfolio, this role offers an opportunity to lead mechanical design across multiple projects while mentoring and supporting junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design delivery across a range of building services projects.
• Leading HVAC and mechanical services design across projects.
• Managing mechanical design through all RIBA stages.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior engineers.
• Liaising with clients, architects and project stakeholders.
• Ensuring designs meet regulatory and sustainability requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in mechanical building services design
• Extensive HVAC design experience
• Experience managing project delivery within a consultancy environment
• Chartered or working towards chartership desirable
