What the job involves
- You’ll be joining a collaborative team that values curiosity, ownership, and continuous learning
- We are looking for a skilled and personable Forward Deployed Engineer to build strong client relationships in order to build, configure and deliver technical solutions to meet individual client needs
- The role combines programming expertise with a deep understanding of the insurance/insurtech space, comprising engineering, sales, and client success
- Successful candidates will join an established and growing team to meet the demands of growth, working collaboratively with Engineering, Product and Commercial teams. You will be responsible for proof of value / pilot projects that are pivotal to our growth strategy
- Lead the analysis of prospective partners’ and clients’ business requirements, translating them into robust technical solutions using our domain-specific, spreadsheet‑like functional programming language, Brossa
- Own the design, configuration and delivery of formal specifications for insurance products across multiple lines of business (e.g. marine, aviation, political violence)
- Act as a trusted technical partner to clients, shaping solutions that align with their strategic goals and constraints
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering and commercial teams to customise and configure the platform for client needs
- Build and manage platform integrations, ensuring reliable delivery and ongoing technical support
- Demonstrate product value and technical credibility to senior internal and client stakeholders
