Main duties include managing and leading in-house Engineering Team, in additional to professional construction teams, in-house and external, for successful project delivery, ensuring implementation of corporate property related strategies, developing regular liaison with client representative.

It is essential you have substantial post qualification experience working in a senior position, co-ordination of multi-discipline teams in local government / major technical or similar organisation, and wide experience of building projects from inception to completion, SBCC contracts and their administration, procurement, project management, experience of managing staff both in line management and external consultants.

You must have knowledge and understanding of all construction disciplines, Health and Safety Legislation, CDM, The Equality Act 2010, design and technical matters, and experience of -tender procedures and evaluation and use of Autodesk Software and NBS.

You will also have proven managerial communication, organisation and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage and motivate staff across a range of disciplines, identifying training needs and provide advice and guidance on professional and technical matters to staff.

You will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of high-quality construction projects within cost, time, and quality parameters, working with the Technical Services team as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with the ability to make reasoned judgements under pressure and to apply analytical and critical skills to problem solving and decision making.

Member of Relevant Engineering Registered Body (e.g. A full valid and current UK driving licence and use of own transport is also essential.
