Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
£60,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits package
Responsibilities
- Leading design and development of mechanical systems and components.
- Take designs from requirements capture through to production.
- Produce clear, accurate CAD models, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Mechanical analysis (structural, tolerance, etc.) selecting appropriate materials and manufacturing processes.
- Building and testing of prototypes.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
- Strong experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment.
- Confident using SolidWorks CAD to produce production-ready designs.
- Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in plain terms.
