The Team

Lead Value Engineer is a trusted advisor helping customers achieve their strategic goals and realize significant value using the Celonis Process Intelligence Platform. This role carries full responsibility for the end‑to‑end value journey of customers—landing, expanding, adopting, and renewing. Key responsibilities include translating customer objectives into value assessments or proof‑of‑value projects, building Celonis business cases and demos, running value workshops, and engaging with senior stakeholders to deliver value‑driven results and secure long‑term partnership agreements.

The Role

As Lead Value Engineer, you will spearhead data‑driven business transformation with our customers. You will partner with the Celonis Sales Team and be the customer’s trusted advisor, blending deep industry domain expertise with strong analytical skills to help them achieve strategic goals. In sectors such as CPG, Manufacturing, and Automotive, you will apply your understanding of complex back‑office ecosystems—particularly Finance and Supply Chain—to translate process data into measurable business impact. You will act as the bridge between technical process intelligence and executive‑level business strategy, accelerating platform adoption by solving industry‑specific operational challenges.

The work you’ll do

Identify & Frame Value

  • Discover and translate customers’ strategic priorities into high‑impact Celonis use cases.
  • Build demos and business cases, leveraging industry benchmarks and best practices to win new customers.
  • Undertake Value Assessments or Proof‑of‑Value Projects and communicate the value opportunity and strategic roadmap to C‑Level executives.

Realize Value

  • Facilitate business value workshops and use Celonis to identify and qualify opportunities for process enhancement.
  • Derive improvement measures in core business functions and initiate improvement actions and enterprise‑wide change initiatives.
  • Present results and realized value to senior management and C‑Level executives.

Scale Value

  • Responsible for the end‑to‑end customer value journey—landing, expanding, adoption, and renewal.
  • Build a strategic expansion roadmap for customers embedding Celonis Process Intelligence as a strategic business transformation platform and drive adoption and expansion.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams to enhance the Celonis platform and Apps based on new use cases.

The qualifications you need

  • Experience in an analytical role aimed at demonstrating or securing value through business data analysis, process improvement, and software deployment, ideally in a customer‑facing consulting role.
  • Process Improvement & Value Realization: Proven ability to identify use cases for business process improvement and deploy improvement measures, acting as a change agent and training users/process owners.
  • Business Domain Expertise: Understanding of Finance and/or Supply Chain domains and strategic transformation initiatives (e.g., Shared Services Transformation).
  • Data, Analytics, Applications & IT: Strong knowledge of business SaaS applications (e.g., SAP), experience with RPA, BI tools, dashboards, and application development. Knowledge of Python/SQL and AI, and collaboration with IT teams.
  • Project Management: Experience planning and managing project scopes, expectations, and timelines across multiple accounts at different stages of the value journey; ability to leverage Celonis Ecosystem partners.
  • Executive Stakeholder Management: Skilled at preparing and communicating value roadmaps and results to internal and external stakeholders, with excellent English communication and presentation skills.
  • Industry Expertise: Ideally expertise in one or more industries such as Manufacturing, Automotive, Consumer, Retail, Pharmaceuticals, or Chemicals, and ability to develop deep industry insights.
  • Degree: Technology & Management, Industrial/Business Engineering, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a comparable program.
