A vacancy at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for two enthusiastic individuals to join our clinic team as we develop services within the Trust.
Role Summary
We are seeking two doctors to provide SpR-level (ST3+) medical cover for inpatients in Acute Medicine and Cardiology on a 2‑year fixed term basis, with consideration for a 12‑month term.
Responsibilities
- Acute Medicine
- Medical Take List Monday–Friday 09:00–17:00
- 28-bed Medical Admission Unit
- 13-bed Acute/General medicine ward
- Medical Outliers and Same Day Emergency Care Unit with rotating consultants and resident doctors
- Support participation in a twice‑weekly Hot Clinic to increase knowledge and skills
- Cardiology
- Support consultant during Post Take Ward Rounds
- Look after inpatients and manage referrals
- Attend RACPC (Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinics) twice a week
- Full shift rota over an 18‑week period, including long days on‑call, nights, twilights, and weekend discharge shifts
Eligibility & Training
Preferred candidates are doctors at registrar level who have completed Core‑Medical Training and wish to take a break from training while gaining experience or qualifications in their area of interest.
