We’re seeking an outstanding Group Sales Director to drive commercial success across our diverse publishing imprints, managing relationships with major retailers and leading a team of sales professionals across home and international export markets.

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact strategic role where you’ll work directly with our CEO and Managing Directors to develop and execute sales strategies that maximise revenue, market share, and profitability. As a key member of our executive leadership team, you’ll champion our authors and books while shaping the future of our sales function in an evolving retail landscape.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement sales strategy across all imprints and channels
  • Negotiate major commercial agreements with key retail partners, along with CEO and CFO
  • Drive global revenue growth through innovative channel development
  • Develop and motivate a high-performing team of approximately 70 people
  • Provide strategic insight to inform publishing decisions
  • Collaborate with global peers to align strategies and share best practices
  • Lead digital transformation efforts within the sales division

Who You Are

  • Senior sales leader with proven track record at Director/Executive level
  • Deep experience in publishing, media, or consumer goods
  • Established relationships with major UK/international retailers
  • Strong commercial acumen with P&L management experience
  • Strategic thinker who translates plans into measurable results
  • Passionate advocate for books, authors, and reading
  • Collaborative leader who thrives in a matrixed organisation
