Financial Controller – Redcar – Up to 65,000
Jackson Hogg are delighted to be working with an exciting business who are seeking to recruit a technical Financial Controller to report into the Finance Director. This role has a strong focus on month‑end close, statutory and group reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective management of intercompany accounting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Full ownership of the month‑end close process, ensuring accurate, complete and timely financial information.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts in line with group reporting requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards (FRS 102/IFRS as applicable) and group accounting policies.
- Preparing and coordinating statutory accounts and managing the external audit process.
- Responsible for the balance sheet integrity, including monthly reconciliations and reviews.
- Supporting the Finance Director with budgeting and forecasting.
- Line management, development and performance of the finance team.
- Process and submit VAT returns.
You will be/have:
- ACA/ACCA or CIMA Qualified.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with proven application of standards.
- Strong Excel and financial systems including PowerBI.
- Experience working with Macros/VBA/SQL.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment.
