NDT Technician (Level 2)

Salary: £47,400–£54,600

Take ownership of critical inspection work that keeps aircraft serviceable, safe and compliant. This is a clear next step if you want hands-on responsibility, varied aircraft work and scope to build further depth in aviation NDT.


You will help deliver inspection work to target timescales, complete documentation accurately and contribute to continuous improvement across the function.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-destructive testing on aircraft structures, components and related equipment
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with maintenance manuals, approved procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Complete technical records and NDT documentation accurately and on time
  • Assist with continuous improvement activity and work with wider engineering teams to help maintain efficient and compliant operations


Requirements:

  • Previous NDT experience, ideally within aircraft maintenance
  • Level 2 certification in Eddy Current and Ultrasonic Testing under PCN/AERO, BS EN ISO 9712 or EN4179
  • Strong understanding of NDT methods and aerospace products
  • Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance regulatory requirements
  • Magnetic Particle Testing, Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection or Radiography exposure would be desirable
  • British Citizenship holders eligible for high level security clearance


Working Arrangements:

On-site at Bournemouth Airport. 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:00 and Friday 08:00 to 15:30. Some additional hours, on-call support and travel may be required.
