Job Title: Associate – Investment Banking – UK Technology, Media & Telecommunications (Deutsche Numis)

Deutsche Bank’s UK Technology, Media & Telecommunications team, comprised of 12 investment bankers, is a market leading UK TMT franchise, advising :20 listed corporate clients across Tech, Media and Telcos. Notable FTSE 350 clients include Auto Trader, Informa, Trustpilot, Bytes and Trainline amongst others. You will be part of the core UK TMT team within Deutsche Numis’ high performing sector coverage franchise, with additional opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the wider Deutsche Bank platform, including the EMEA TMT team and specialist product teams. On a day-to-day basis you will service a range of retained and target corporate clients, be involved in pitches to financial sponsors, work across a variety of transaction types including, but not limited to, Equity Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions and Leveraged Debt Capital Markets. Your responsibilities will include client coverage, valuation and analytical work, supporting on transaction execution, regulatory advice and the development of pitchbooks, working closely with the team across multiple live projects.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic advice to clients around equity story positioning, fundraising requirements, M&A and defence advice
- Support with M&A, ECM and other transaction processes within the TMT sector, liaising with clients, internal teams, regulators and managing other advisers
- Undertake and develop strong technical skills including financial, valuation and sector knowledge alongside analysis of risk
- Coordinate and produce marketing materials for target corporate clients and financial sponsorsService clients day-to-day, expressing relevant information and communicating clearly in meetings and emails; delivering solutions to clients using sector, market and product knowledge
- Engage with the broader Deutsche Numis and Deutsche Bank platforms to help deliver for our clients
Your Skills And Experience
- Previous relevant experience within an Investment Banking or broader Corporate Finance required
- Prior experience within TMT is preferable but not required
- Technical skills around financial modelling and transactional experience. Good communication skills together with interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively, whether presenting to clients or senior executives
- Able to develop creative solutions to meet client needs and identify cross-product opportunities
- Partnership minded with a strive for excellence in what you do, underpinned by strong analytical skills
- Operate with dynamism, creativity and hustle to deliver superior outcomes for clients working as a team
