Randstad Education is searching for a visionary Geography specialist to join our pioneering specialist team. This is more than just a classroom role; it is a vital mission to bridge the educational divide and act as a powerful catalyst for social mobility.

This is a full time permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday – Friday inline with school hours.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Use formative assessment strategies such as questioning and exit tickets to raise achievement and track pupil progress.
  • Act as a powerful force for social mobility by closing the educational gap through high-quality specialist teaching.
  • Scaffold and differentiate resources in real-time to meet the diverse needs of SEND, EAL, and Pupil Premium students.
  • Contribute to school life through pastoral support, interventions, and coordinating curriculum-related field trips.

Preferred skills

  • Strong knowledge of physical and human geography, including specialized areas like Geomorphology.
  • Proven ability to manage challenging behaviours using positive, proactive, and person-centered strategies.
  • Ability to build strong rapport with pupils and colleagues to create a safe, supportive learning environment.
  • Skills to cultivate the next generation of teaching talent and work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants.
  • Ability to self-evaluate teaching quality through peer observations and student performance data.
