Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Junior Compressed Air Service Engineer based in Scotland. The role involves assisting in the maintenance, servicing and repair of compressed air systems for a variety of industries. Responsibilities include regular inspections, troubleshooting technical issues, performing diagnostics, and supporting the installation and commissioning of air compressors and associated equipment. You will work closely with senior engineers to gain hands‑on experience while adhering to health and safety regulations and maintaining service documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of compressed air systems and equipment (e.g., air compressors, dryers, filters, pipework).
  • Support senior engineers on customer sites and in the workshop.
  • Learn to diagnose faults and carry out repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Attend training courses and complete all required assessments.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.

Qualifications

  • A genuine interest in engineering and mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Good practical skills and a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Full UK driving licence or working towards obtaining one (desirable).
  • NAT 5 Qualifications in Maths, English, and Science – Grade 4/C or above preferred.
