As Group Financial Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across the group, while developing your technical and commercial skillset in a best‑practice environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a timely and accurate month‑end close (target WD5)
- Review journals, accruals, and key financial calculations
- Prepare monthly reporting packs with clear variance analysis
- Act as a key contact during month‑end, escalating risks and delays
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure strong supporting evidence
- Track and resolve aged or high‑risk balance sheet items
- Strengthen financial controls and support process improvements
- Act as a key contact for internal and external audits
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit queries
- Research and apply technical accounting standards and policies
- Support year‑end close, including statutory reporting and disclosures
- Assist in delivering a smooth and efficient audit process
About You
- Currently in practice and looking to make your first move into industry
- Strong grounding in financial reporting and audit
- Technically strong with excellent attention to detail
- Ambitious and motivated to progress towards Financial Controller
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
