Role Description
We are recruiting Territory Managers across three London territories — South London, West London, and East London — ahead of our planned go-to-market launch on 15 May 2025 (subject to stock and display unit delivery).
As a Territory Manager, you will be the face of Oval Standard in your patch. You will be responsible for winning new accounts, building lasting relationships with retailers and trade partners, and executing flawless in-store presence. You will be trusted to run your territory like your own business — because in many ways, it is.
Territories Available
- South London
- West London
- East London
Each role is territory‑exclusive. You will own your patch, manage your own diary, and be accountable for results within it.
Key Responsibilities
Account Acquisition & Growth
- Identify, target, and open new retail and trade accounts across your territory
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospects using structured call cycles
- Achieve monthly and quarterly volume and distribution targets
- Negotiate shelf space, secondary placement, and display opportunities
In‑Store Execution
- Ensure Oval Standard products are correctly placed, priced, and prominently displayed
- Install and maintain branded display units in line with brand guidelines
- Monitor stock levels, identify gaps, and proactively resolve availability issues
- Conduct regular trade visits to maintain standards and build presence
Relationship Management
- Develop strong, trust‑based relationships with store owners, buyers, and key contacts
- Educate retail staff on the Oval Standard brand, product range, and category
- Act as the go‑to brand contact within your territory — responsive, knowledgeable, and reliable
Reporting & Insight
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all activity and accounts via CRM
- Provide regular territory updates to the founder/director including wins, challenges, and competitor intelligence
- Share customer and market feedback to help shape our product and commercial strategy
What We Are Looking For
- Proven field sales experience — you have a track record of hitting targets on the road
- Strong relationship‑building skills — you open doors and make them stick
- A self‑starter mindset — you do not need to be managed, you need to be trusted
- Commercial awareness — you understand margin, sell‑in vs sell‑out, and what drives a retailer
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in FMCG, convenience retail, or the tobacco/nicotine/vaping category
- An existing network of London retail accounts
- Familiarity with nicotine pouches or adjacent reduced‑risk products
- Experience launching a new brand or product into trade
