Role & Responsibilities
- Lead strategic category management for indirect goods and services, aligning category plans to organisational objectives.
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and contract implementation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to drive value for money and commercial best practice.
- Deliver spend optimisation initiatives, savings targets, and continuous improvement across assigned categories.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and risk mitigation to ensure effective contract delivery.
- Ensure procurement activity is compliant with policies, governance requirements, and best practice procedures.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 2+ years experience within a category manager position in the private sector.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Experience procuring indirect goods.
- Experience implementing category plans.
- Excellent communicator.
