We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Underwriter to join our growing team. Reporting to our Head of Underwriting, you will manage and underwrite Renovation Insurance, overseeing advice‑led delegated authority schemes in a dynamic, high‑performance environment.

Responsibilities

  • Underwrite profitable renovation scheme business.
  • Underwrite larger, more complex projects which include concierge calls.
  • Provide written and oral advice to brokers.
  • Provide expert underwriting guidance to support other members of the team.
  • Insurance administration of existing policies, including extensions and adjustments.
  • Assist with accounts and claims queries.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with all key stakeholders, including supporting brokers, insurers and industry experts.
  • Attend events, either as a guest or host.

Qualifications

  • Cert CII preferable.
  • Extensive specialist underwriting knowledge, ability, and experience DIP CII/ ACII preferable.
  • Advanced level of specialist market and specialist product knowledge.
  • A working knowledge of legal and regulatory Insurance framework.
  • Proven, effective training/coaching style.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions.
