CNC Field Service Engineer

Location: Midlands / North West / North (Regional Coverage)

Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 with Door-to-Door Overtime and Company Car

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Field Service Engineer to join a well-established and highly respected machine tool company supporting customers across the UK.

Role

As a CNC Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault finding, and installing CNC machine tools at customer sites across the UK.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Fault finding and diagnostics on CNC machinery
  • Mechanical or electrical repair work depending on your bias
  • Installation and commissioning of machines
  • Preventative maintenance and servicing
  • Working on lathes and machining centres

Mechanical Experience

  • Ball screw and linear guide replacement
  • Spindle rebuilds and alignments
  • Machine geometry and installation work

Electrical Experience

  • Fault finding on drives, controls and circuits
  • Use of diagnostic equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes)
  • Working with Fanuc or Okuma controls
