Pastoral Officer & Attendance Lead

Location: Our Lady & St Paul’s Catholic Primary School
Salary: Grade 6 scp 19-24 (£27,393 – £30,256 annual or £32,061 – £35,412 FTE)
Contract: Permanent (Term Time Only, 2 days per term)
Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week)
Start date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted pastoral support to help pupils develop positive behaviour, confidence and a love of learning.
  • Monitor attendance and punctuality, working closely with families and the Local Authority to promote excellent attendance.
  • Develop supportive action plans to help children overcome barriers to learning.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with parents, staff and external agencies to ensure every child feels supported and valued.
  • Support pupils with transition and reintegration following absence.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare relevant correspondence and reports.

  • Genuine desire to help every child thrive in line with Catholic values.
  • Suitability to work with children, as evidenced by an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
