Senior .NET Developer

Overview
Ocho is partnering with a high-growth, Belfast-based technology organisation operating at the forefront of clinical research and precision medicine.

This is an opportunity to join a team building a modern SaaS platform that is transforming how global organisations deliver complex clinical trials. You'll work on cloud-native applications that directly support life-changing research, in an environment that combines strong technical leadership with real-world impact.

You'll play a key role in designing, building and scaling high-performance applications, while also acting as a senior voice within the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain scalable applications using .NET and Azure
  • Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions across new and existing systems
  • Work closely with product, design and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Develop and optimise SQL Server databases for performance and scalability
  • Build and integrate cloud-native services using Azure
  • Mentor junior engineers and support overall team capability
  • Participate in code reviews and drive best practices across the team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure system reliability and performance

Person We Are Looking For

  • Strong commercial experience with .NET (C#, .NET Core)
  • Experience building cloud-based applications using Azure
  • Strong SQL Server experience including performance optimisation
  • Experience working with APIs and microservices architectures
  • Exposure to modern front-end technologies (Angular, React, JavaScript)
  • Proven ability to mentor and support other engineers
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, Agile environment

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps or similar tooling
  • Interest in AI or emerging technologies
  • Experience across additional languages or frameworks
