Operations Manager (Wealth Management/Financial Planning)

City of London (hybrid working)

c £50,000 and excellent bonus/Benefits package

The opportunity

Our client, a well established, expanding Wealth Manager is looking for a highly organised and commercially minded Operations Manager, essentially with a Wealth Management/Financial planning sector background, to play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth, scalable and compliant running of operations across the business.

Working closely with the Operations Director, you’ll help drive continuous improvement across core business functions including Operations, Internal IT, HR, CSR/ESG, and Business Assurance. You’ll also take ownership of key corporate governance activities, supporting executive leadership and enabling effective decision-making at Board and Senior management level.

This is a broad, high-impact role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced financial services environment and enjoys balancing strategic coordination with hands-on delivery.

About You

You are a proactive, detail-driven operator who can confidently manage multiple priorities while maintaining discretion and professionalism.

Experience will include:

  • Proven experience in an operations leadership or senior coordination role within Wealth Management/Financial Planning
  • A demonstrable track record of delivering process improvements and operational reporting
  • Experience supporting Board/Senior Management governance, including minute-taking and records management
  • Exceptional organisation and stakeholder management
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including drafting for senior executives
  • High level of discretion handling confidential information
  • Strong problem-solving skills with sound judgement
  • Advanced Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams/SharePoint)
  • Experience with governance/document tools (e.g. Diligent Boards)
  • Desirable: PRINCE2, Agile, Lean Six Sigma or similar
  • Desirable: UK GDPR/data protection knowledge
