Working Pattern: At least two days per week at one of the listed offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipeline‑based products and services, responding to change, implementing enhancements, and improving reliability and customer experience.
- Implement further automation and reduce toil by utilizing existing cloud tooling or implementing new technologies.
- Improve operational excellence, including monitoring, incident response, problem management, cost optimisation, and reliability.
- Be accountable for day‑to‑day health of both production and non‑production environments and respond to any incidents as required.
- Observe, investigate, and fix service issues with an engineering attitude—resolving via code changes and implementing improvements to prevent repeat issues.
- Engage in Agile team ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide technical expertise to establish risk tolerance of products and services.
- Communicate incident status updates clearly and frequently to other teams, customers, and stakeholders.
- Apply SRE practices and introduce chaos engineering where appropriate to strengthen resilience and validate reliability.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong DevOps understanding, including experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Terraform, Jenkins, Harness, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with a broad set of public‑cloud technologies and services, particularly Google Cloud Platform Analytics, AI, Databases & Serverless products.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Groovy, PowerShell, or BASH.
- Solid understanding of cloud security, network fundamentals, IAM, and platform engineering.
- Experience with monitoring tools and techniques to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Logical thinking and strong problem‑solving skills.
Desirable Skills
- Practical experience using SDKs and APIs to deliver automation.
- Certifications in GCP or another cloud platform (e.g., Azure).
- Experience in system administration, software engineering, or related technology/engineering fields with ability to adapt quickly to new cloud environments.
- Technology‑agnostic mindset and willingness to pursue the best solutions.
- Continuous curiosity to learn and develop with industry‑best‑practice methods and tooling in the cloud.
