Gap Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing client in Telford for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive engineer who can work independently, troubleshoot faults efficiently, and support continuous improvement across a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Reduce downtime and improve machine performance
- Support installations, upgrades, and engineering improvement projects
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with H&S procedures
- Assist with general facilities and building maintenance when required
What We’re Looking For:
- City & Guilds qualification or completed engineering apprenticeship
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience within manufacturing
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability
- Knowledge of PLC systems and engineering drawings
- 17th/18th Edition qualification desirable
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Positive, proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills
Desirable:
• Experience within automated manufacturing environments
• FLT / IPAF licences
