As a Trustee, you will help shape the long-term direction, resilience, and influence of the organisation. You will contribute strategic insight, broaden external connections, and support the charity to grow its reach, partnerships, and sustainability within the community.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Direction & Growth
You will play an active role in setting and challenging the organisation’s strategic direction, ensuring decisions support long-term sustainability and meaningful community impact. This includes translating vision into clear priorities and supporting progress against them.
Governance & Oversight
You will provide effective oversight of the organisation’s performance, ensuring strong governance, sound decision-making, and compliance with relevant legislation. You will be comfortable reviewing information, asking constructive questions, and helping simplify complexity into clear actions.
Influence, Advocacy & Networks
You will act as an advocate for the organisation, using your professional experience and networks to raise its profile, open doors to new opportunities, and strengthen relationships with partners, funders, and stakeholders.
Insight, Data & Funding Narrative
You will support the organisation in presenting its impact clearly and credibly, helping translate data and operational insight into compelling, accessible messages for funders and partners.
Collaborative Decision-Making
You will contribute to discussions with a calm, balanced, and solutions-focused approach, helping the board navigate challenges and make informed, strategic decisions.
Commitment to the Organisation
You will actively participate in trustee meetings and contribute approximately 8 hours per week to support the charity’s work.
