Job Description:

An Electrical Contracts Manager specializing in retail and supermarkets ensures the efficient delivery of electrical projects from inception to completion. They oversee installations, maintenance, and compliance works in fast-paced retail environments, ensuring minimal disruption to trading.

Core Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery:Manage multiple electrical projects, including installation, commissioning, and testing, often working on fast-track retail refurbishment or new-build projects.
  • Site Supervision & Safety:Ensure compliance with BS7671 (18th Edition) wiring regulations, health and safety standards (RAMS), and site audits.
  • Team Leadership:Lead and manage site staff, electrical technicians, and subcontractors to ensure efficiency and high-quality work.
  • Commercial & Financial Control:Responsible for project budgets, cost control, procurement of materials, variation management, and achieving final account agreement.
  • Client Liaison:Act as the primary contact for supermarket clients, managing expectations, attending progress meetings, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Compliance & Technical:Manage compliance services such as EICRs (Electrical Installation Condition Reports), emergency lighting testing, and thermal imaging.
