Elevation’s Design & Projects team are working with a market-leading manufacturer to recruit a Design Manager to lead a site-based engineering team.

This is ahands-on leadership role combining technical authority with team oversight—ideal for a senior design professional ready to step up or an existing manager looking for more influence across engineering and manufacturing.

The role:

• Lead and coordinate a mechanical & structural design team
• Own technical delivery, approvals, and design sign-off
• Drive improvements across manufacturing, automation, and design processes
• Work cross-functionally with production, quality, and international teams
• Play a key role in product development and continuous improvement

What we’re looking for:

• Strong background in mechanical / structural design within manufacturing
• Advanced 3D CAD experience (parametric/configuration tools ideal)
• Experience with BOMs, ERP systems, and engineering change
• Previous leadership or senior-level design experience
• Practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong stakeholder skillsClear technical ownership and autonomy
• Opportunity to shape processes and improve manufacturing capability
