An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing Building Services team based in London. This role is ideally suited to an ambitious and technically strong Electrical Engineer with a background in MEP/building services design who enjoys autonomy, innovation and collaborative project delivery.

Overview
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, the successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of a diverse range of projects from concept through to completion. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients and stakeholders, they will take ownership of electrical design elements while also mentoring and supporting junior engineers within the team.
The position offers a high level of autonomy and would suit someone who is organised, proactive and passionate about delivering high-quality engineering solutions within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading electrical engineering elements on selected projects
- Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Attending client meetings and presentations
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers within the team
- Delivering technically excellent electrical design solutions
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Producing and reviewing drawings, specifications and calculations
- Working across projects from inception through to completion
- Coordinating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (Chartered or working towards preferred)
- HNC/HND qualified candidates with relevant design experience will also be considered
- Minimum 3–4 years’ building services design experience post qualification
- Experience using software including Microsoft Office, Relux/Dialux, Amtech and Revit
- Strong knowledge of British & European Standards and Building Regulations
- Knowledge of HTMs would be beneficial
- Professional membership such as CIBSE or IET advantageous
- Good understanding of HV/LV systems
- Knowledge of embedded generation and renewable technologies
- Working knowledge of BREEAM
- Appreciation of mechanical engineering principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and develop
