Employment Solicitor 3yrs +PQE
Are you an ambitious Employment Solicitor looking for varied, high-quality work, genuine client contact and the chance to help shape a successful and expanding team?
We are looking for an experienced solicitor with at least three years’ post-qualification experience to join our Employment Team. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a stimulating caseload, advise a diverse client base and play an active role in the continued development of the practice.
The opportunity
You will have the freedom to manage your own caseload while working closely with supportive colleagues across the firm. The work is broad, interesting and commercially focused, with responsibilities including:
- Advising both employers and employees on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- Running Employment Tribunal claims, including discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal cases.
- Drafting clear, practical employment contracts, policies, settlement agreements and workplace documentation.
- Guiding clients through disciplinary and grievance issues, redundancies, restructures and TUPE projects.
- Providing strategic, commercial and down-to-earth advice that helps clients make confident decisions.
- Supporting, mentoring and supervising junior colleagues where appropriate.
- Building strong client relationships and contributing to networking, marketing and business development initiatives.
- Keeping clients and colleagues ahead of relevant legal and regulatory developments.
What we are looking for
You will be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales with three or more years’ PQE. Just as importantly, you will bring confidence and a practical approach to client service, together with:
- Strong experience across a broad range of employment law work.
- The confidence to run matters independently while managing competing deadlines.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
- Sound commercial judgement and an instinct for practical, client-focused solutions.
- A natural ability to develop and maintain lasting client relationships.
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to a busy, friendly team.
- An interest in business development and in growing your professional profile.
