We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on the development of high-performance electromechanical and imaging-based products. This role will involve leading mechanical design activities from concept through to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex products and assemblies from concept to manufacture
- Produce detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings using SolidWorks
- Design for manufacture, including plastic injection moulding, machining, and assembly processes
- Perform thermal analysis and develop solutions for heat management in compact electronic systems
- Design and develop test jigs, fixtures, and rigs for validation and verification testing
- Collaborate with electronics engineers to support PCB integration, enclosure design, and cable management
- Support prototype builds, testing, and design iteration
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong experience in 3D CAD design, ideally using SolidWorks
- Proven background in plastic injection moulding design and DFM principles
- Experience in thermal design and analysis of electronic/electromechanical systems
- Hands-on experience designing test jigs, fixtures, and rigs
- Good understanding of electronics integration, including PCB layout considerations and enclosure design
- Experience working with imaging systems, sensors, or embedded hardware
